Riad Dar Palmyra

"A nice riad in the city center. Decent rooftop breakfast with views of the Medina, friendly staff."

Dellarosa Boutique Hotel and Spa Hotels in Marrakech

Dellarosa Boutique Hotel and Spa

"Great location. 15 minute walk to the main square or 5 mins in a taxi. Friendly staff from start to finish. Fatima (housekeeper) was honestly amazing. She would be one of the reasons I came back. Every day she greated us with a smile (and fresh towels) spent time to see if we needed anything. When my other half was ill she was helpful in telling us what to ask for at the pharmacy. The breakfast was nice and we eat at the hotel 2 nights and both the international Buffett and the traditional Moroccan food were both superb. We got upgraded to the Dellarosa Suite which was a lovely surprise Can’t wait to come back."

Dar Hilana - Boutique Riad & Spa Hotels in Marrakech

Dar Hilana - Boutique Riad & Spa

"!!!Note: The address listed for this guesthouse, 212 Derb el Cadi, is incorrect on Google Maps. This address is in the west of the city, but the guesthouse is in the east. You need to search for "Dar Hilana." Take a bus to the Bab aylan gate, then walk about 500 meters. This guesthouse seems to be newly opened; the facilities are quite new. It has three floors, with a rooftop terrace offering a good view. The overall decor has a strong local feel. The area outside the guesthouse is a local residential area with fruit and snack shops, but no restaurants. We usually ate near the tourist attractions. The breakfast was quite plentiful, including yogurt, honey, bread, and fried eggs, and tasted pretty good. The owner and staff were very friendly. However, I felt the guesthouse's decor focused too much on artistic flair and neglected practicality. I expect the maintenance costs will be quite high in the future. For example, the bathroom walls weren't tiled; they were just whitewashed, which is prone to mold and peeling."

Diwane Hotel & Spa Marrakech ★★★★
"The hotel's location is super convenient. It's a straight 40-minute walk to the Medina. The train station is just 10 minutes away (we had a fantastic trip to Casablanca from there). All taxi drivers know this hotel. Yes, the hotel is a bit dated, BUT if you're not planning to just sit in your room, it's a very decent option. Breakfasts are standard, nothing fancy. The pool with sun loungers is absolutely fantastic. We even managed to get a tan! 👌👍"

"The hotel is right next to the train station. The cleanliness was just okay, but the area felt safe. There's a McDonald's nearby, and the room had a bathtub. When checking in, make sure to ask about the city tax (this is a common issue in Marrakech hotels)."

Novotel Marrakech Hivernage ★★★★
"The hotel was in a quiet location, the pool was nice. Unfortunately our room was very disappointing. In our first room the AC was not working. Maintenance came to fix it, there was a slight improvement but still not great. Then whilst opening the shower door, the door fell off the wall. This looks like it was because the door had not been maintained. This is not what you would expect in any establishment - let alone a 4* hotel. It also had the potential to be very dangerous, luckily I was strong enough to hold the weight of the door before assistance came. The hotel moved us to a new room and gave us a nice selection of food in our new room which was nice gesture although we would have expected more. The AC in the new room worked well so the room change was welcome. Unfortunately, the fridge in the room was leaking internally so we had to throw away food that we were storing in there as it became damp from an internal leak. One of these occurrences we could probably accept but to have three issues with repairing is not what I expect from Accor. The hotel needs serious maintenance!"

Riad Zahrat Al Sahara ★★★★
"The Riad is basic but offers everything you need to visit Marrakesh. Rooms are clean and cleaned daily, the breakfast yet basic was a delicious start to the day. The staff are truly lovely, Yusuf and Osman couldn’t be more helpful. The Riad is a good 20 mins walk to the main square, the walk is filled with the real Marrakesh and its people. It was an eye opener at first, but you get used to the hustle of everyday life in the back streets. Don’t be afraid, it’s completely safe and the people just want to help."
